To study the reactions of propane and propene on the catalyst, propane and propene were used as the fluidizing gas. The gas flow rate was greater than 100 ml/min during Raman spectra collection. Raman spectra were collected for 900-1800 seconds at the temperature indicated for each experiment below, with approximately 3 0 mW laser power to the sample. Pre-reduced samples of catalyst were heated to 500°C in hydrogen, held at that temperature for 1 hour and cooled in hydrogen before use. All gases were high purity and used without additional purification.
