Continue along the South Downs Way, swinging slightly west of south, following the left-hand side of a hedgerow on what is quite a rough grassy path. Ahead of you are the trees of Friston Forest. Now you begin to descend, dropping quite steeply to a Tjunction of paths, meeting a wider track at the foot of the hill, with steep wooded hills rising up in front of you.

Turn right onto the driveway and follow it until you reach a driveway going off to the left. You take this left turn and shortly reach the fairway of the thirteenth hole. Cross it, then turn left to follow beside it, going downhill then up to the thirteenth tee by means of a path. This is the start of a most pleasant walk right beside the golf course; as stated previously, there is no difficulty of access and in fact this is a most agreeable part of the walk, with the lush green fairways beautifully complementing the heathland and patches of woodland.
